Western masters. Eastern insights.

Shoot differently and expand your vision with Eileen McCarney Muldoon & Olaf Willoughby

Our workshop format is unique, imaginative and intense. You will be shooting using the Japanese principles of Shu Ha Ri – a new perspective that will energise your work.

Goals

This workshop answers the question,  “How should I evaluate my work and develop my own distinct style?

We start by looking at the works of some of the masters of photography and use that knowledge to re-energise our personal style in daily shooting assignments.

Shu (study), gaining an understanding of a masters work through shooting in that style.

Ha (assimilation), shooting assignments which merge your unique approach with that of the master to see how your work benefits.

Ri (innovation), we no longer need the master. The foundation of the first two stages breeds the confidence to experiment, shoot in new ways and opens new doors to your creativity.

Outcomes

You will leave this workshop inspired and find your personal work enhanced.

This workshop is intended for those who have a working knowledge of their camera and want to expand their creative and artistic skills.
