I’m a photographer, writer, researcher
and facilitator living in London.

My photography is about Pattern Detection, seeing the ebb and flow of energy around us. My stories involve everything from advocacy to collaboration with other artists or combining abstracts with haiku.

BREAKING ROUTINE

We lead busy lives. We suffer from the tyranny of multi-tasking, the need to make decisions and the pressure to compress everything into 140 characters. Whilst we get a lot done this mindset isn’t conducive to creative thinking.

To grow creatively we need to allow the time for play and the space for learning from our mistakes. Often as photographers we get into a routine of seeing and shooting similar subjects. Occasionally it is good to ask ourselves; are we in a groove or a rut?

I try to make time for experimentation. With concepts, with techniques. I particularly enjoyed photographing the work of Richard Serra at the Gagosian Gallery in London. Meandering through alternative interpretations, allowing the work to speak for itself. This is some of the work in progress…tbc
